Samuel Gawith

The Samuel Gawith name came into play when Harrison’s daughter Jane fell in love with a Kendal plumber and Glazier named, Samuel Gawith. When Harrison died in 1841, his share of Harrison and Brockelbank was split between his sister Ann and his daughter. In 1845, Brockelbank passed away leaving the entire operation to Ann and Jane. Once Ann died in 1851, Samuel Gawith took over the business and renamed it.
