Sniffing Snuff

The key is to inhale lightly, like you were smelling the scent from a flower. Once the snuff is in the front of the nose, which is where you want it, the tobacco attaches to the mucous membranes inside the nose and the Nicotine is absorbed into the bloodstream. Be cautious not to sniff too hard though. This can cause the snuff to go up into the sinus cavities and make you sneeze uncontrollably or it can go to the back of the throat giving you a burning sensation. To use the hand method, you take the pinch and place it on the back of the hand in the dimple made when you bring your thumb next to your forefinger. The just raise it to each nostril and sniff. In either method, to remove the tobacco, you just need to blow your nose!
